I chose obstetrics and gynecology as a specialty because I enjoy doing primary care, surgery, and the excitement of obstetrics. I try to help women focus on wellness and preventative care both in gynecology and pregnancy. I see my role as a physician in women's health as a provider in evidence based medicine providing information so the patient can make the best decisions for their present and future health. What makes this career rewarding is building long standing relationships with my patients so their medical chart fills in the details about their health but I don't need it to really know the person. I think a holistic approach is very important.
